Facebook testing $14.99 monthy subscription fee to post links
Facebook is experimenting with ”limiting the number of links users can post” without a $14.99 ”Meta Verified” subscription.
Over the last week, several users have spotted Meta’s test, which impacts link posting. Social media strategist Matt Navarra noted that users part of the test can only post two links unless they pay for a Meta Verified subscription, which starts from $14.99 per month.
Apple Commands Outsized Revenue Share Across Global Device Markets [Report]
Apple crossed the $100 billion revenue mark for a September quarter for the first time this year, reaching $102 billion, driven by record results across both hardware and services. New data from Counterpoint Research shows Apple’s total revenue grew 8% year-over-year, with hardware up 5% and services climbing 15%.

Firefox Will Ship with an ”AI Kill Switch” to Completely Disable all AI Features – 9to5Linux
After the controversial news shared earlier this week by Mozilla’s new CEO that Firefox will evolve into “a modern AI browser,” the company now revealed it is working on an AI kill switch for the open-source web browser.
On Tuesday, Anthony Enzor-DeMeo was named the new CEO of Mozilla Corporation, the company behind the beloved Firefox web browser used by almost all GNU/Linux distributions as the default browser.

Bowen Yang leaves ’SNL’ midway through his 8th season
Comedian Bowen Yang is leaving Saturday Night Live midway through the season, his eighth with the long-running NBC late-night sketch comedy series. The performer is scheduled to participate in his final show Saturday, which will be hosted by Wicked star Ariana Grande. Cher is the musical guest.
Yang has not publicly shared the reason for his abrupt departure from SNL. In a social media post on Saturday, the comedian thanked the team and expressed gratitude for ”every minute” of his time with the show.
