The 60 Minutes segment that was pulled last month by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss in a controversial move is seemingly now ready to finally air.
The “Inside CECOT” segment is reportedly slated to air Sunday evening, CBS sources told CNN‘s Brian Stelter.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to CBS News for comment.
The report, which featured Sharyn Alfonsi as the correspondent and Oriana Zill de Granados as the producer speaking to Venezuelans who had been deported by the Trump administration to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison, was spiked by Weiss in December, hours before it was scheduled to broadcast.

Google’s Fast Pair technology was designed for convenience. The protocol turns pairing a new Bluetooth accessory into a tap-and-go experience for Android and Chrome OS users. But new research suggests that the same design choices that make Fast Pair effortless also make it alarmingly easy to abuse.
Researchers from KU Leuven University’s Computer Security and Industrial Cryptography group have identified a set of vulnerabilities they call WhisperPair. Their findings reveal that attackers within Bluetooth range – roughly 45 to 50 feet – can take control of wireless headphones, earbuds, and speakers that rely on Fast Pair. The flaw affects devices from at least ten major companies, including Google, Sony, JBL, Jabra, Xiaomi, and OnePlus.

If you weren’t able to shut down your Windows 11 device recently, Microsoft has rolled out an emergency fix addressing a couple of critical bugs that popped up with its latest January 2026 Windows security update. The latest ”out-of-band” update repairs an issue for some Windows 11 devices that would only restart when users tried to shut down or hibernate. The same update restores the ability for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users to log into their devices via remote connection apps.

The US was one of a number of countries to escape recent Spotify price increases, but that is now coming to an end.
The streaming music service increased the price of its premium plans in a large number of other countries late last year, while US pricing remained unchanged. Predictably, that was only a temporary respite …
The previous price rise was implemented in many countries around the world, the company citing multiple markets across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. In the UK, for example, the price of an individual premium subscription rose from £11.99 to £12.99, while a family plan went up from £19.99 to £21.99.
