Signify is seemingly close to launching its own Philips Hue video doorbell, following a leak in the company’s own iOS app.
Signify’s Philips Hue collection covers a lot of smart home devices, with the list chiefly consisting of lights and security cameras. While it doesn’t currently have a video doorbell in its imaging collection, that could change within a matter of months.
Revealed by HueBlog, the Hue app for iOS was updated in March to include an option to register devices by QR code, with there also an option to add hardware without the QR code too. It’s this latter option that confirmed the existence of the device.

In an unexpected turn of events, the director of the Pirate Bay documentary TPB-AFK has sent takedown notices to YouTube requesting its removal. The director states that he sees the streaming portal as a radicalizing platform full of hate. The takedowns are not without controversy, however, as TPB-AFK was published under a Creative Commons license.
Released in 2013, The Pirate Bay documentary TPB-AFK offers insight into a pivotal moment in Internet history.
Created by Simon Klose, the film follows three Pirate Bay founders during their trial in Sweden. True to the nature of the site, it was made widely available online for free.

We’ve been hearing for some time that Apple is working on a version of the Apple Watch SE with a plastic shell to offer a cheaper and more kid-friendly option, but it seems bringing that vision to life is a bit more complicated than expected. After Apple’s September event last year came and went with no new Apple Watch SE announced, Mark Gurman reported that the team had run into some “cost and quality” challenges with the plastic design, but that it was still happening. Now, in this week’s Power Onnewsletter, Gurman says the plastic Apple Watch SE is “in serious jeopardy.”

The Liverpool band, best known for their their version of The Drifters’ hit ‘Sweets For My Sweet’, ‘Sugar And Spice’ and ‘Don’t Throw Your Love Away’, will end nearly 70 years of touring with their debut at Worthy Farm on the Acoustic Stage on Friday, June 27, after the line-up was announced yesterday (March 22).
