What it says to girls is: no matter what you do, no matter how much you achieve, powerful men will try to cut you down
The morning after election day 2016, I got a call from a girls’ school in New York where I was scheduled to speak. “We have to reschedule,” said a representative from the school. “The girls are too upset.”
Girls across the country were upset when Trump was elected, but not simply on partisan grounds. They were upset because Donald Trump was a bully, a cyberbully, and he bullied girls and young women like them – women like the former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, who revealed that, when she was 19, he called her “Miss Piggy,” a dig at her weight.

Expo granskar:I slutna SD-vänliga Facebookgrupper sprids uppmaningar om att spränga moskéer, rensa ut muslimer och att agera med vapen mot landsförrädarna i den svenska regeringen. En person kommenterar kort och gott: ”Skjut alla jävla muslimer.” Artikeln är hämtad från Expo #4-2019.
En bild på afghanska ungdomar. Mer behövs inte för att få medlemmar i Facebookgruppen Vi som tror på Sverigedemokraterna att koka av ilska.

I den slutna gruppen med beskrivningen I denna grupp finns vi som stödjer SD och SD:s partiprogram, samt röstar SD vädrar många medlemmar sina tankar om våld.

Joakim Lamotte är ”Swish-journalist” som finansierar sina uppdrag med stöd från läsarna.

Emanuel Karlsten är en person som hellre frotterar sig med makthavare istället för att granska dem. Och till personer som honom går våra skattepengar. Det är horribelt.

Joakim Lamottes har en massa åsikter vilket inte är detsamma som fakta eller ens åsikter som vilar på faktamässig grund.
Det är en närmast bottenlös okunnighet att försöka göra en avbokning till en yttrandefrihetsfråga och ännu mera idiotiskt att försöka förvandla det till något slags tecken i tiden eller dra till med att det är ett bevis på hur illa ställt det är med Sverige.

De höga priserna för bostäder i södra Kalifornien har lett till att inte ens familjer med två löner hittar någonstans att bo. Barnfamiljer tvingas att bo i sina bilar.

Frankie’s morning started before the sun came up, as the steadily increasing volume of his parents’ phone alarm, coming from somewhere near the dashboard, jolted the 8-year-old awake. His dad, Candido, and 6-year-old brother, Josephat, had begun to stir in the cramped rear of the minivan, emerging from a tangle of blankets, towels, pillows, and stuffed animals. His mom, Brenda, was in the driver’s seat, whoch was reclined as far back as it could go; his baby sister, Adelene, who was 3, was splayed out awkwardly on the seat beside her. As for Frankie, he was in his usual spot: nestled on the floorboard between the front seats and middle row, his skinny 4-foot frame hidden in a furry green-and-brown sleeping bag meant to look like a grizzly bear.

Pokémon Sword and Shield review-in-progress — A warm and comfy, but mild, curry
Releasing November 15 in stores, online retailers, and the Nintendo eShop, Pokémon Sword and Shield show that the Game Freak studio and Nintendo have made the right call in finally bringing one of the main games in this long-lived, beloved series to its main console. It’s great on the TV, and it’s fun in the Switch’s handheld mode as well. It makes clever use of the Switch’s motion controls and detachable controller, doesn’t forget the PokéBall still exists, and is bright and colorful, whether on your TV or as in portable mode. It’s fantastic to play with kids, either sharing the controller or having them help you (or you help them) with strategies and the strengths and weaknesses of each critter you encounter.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are like a mild curry — comfortable and satisfying, but missing that spice that shows it’s something different.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are showing that a good game can overcome one’s up-and-down (mostly down) history with a franchise, and that you’re never too old to embrace something your children enjoy.
And embrace Pokémon Shield, I have.

The woman who tracks ’dark’ Instagram accounts
Scrolling through the Instagram feed on her phone, 22-year-old Ingebjørg Blindheim explains why she has been given the nickname ”the lifeguard”.
”I see a lot of people who want to die,” explains the young Norwegian.
”I’m not just going to watch someone saying they’re going to kill themselves and ignore it and hope for the best.”
Intervening to help suicidal Instagram users is not a role Ingebjørg would have chosen for herself. She doesn’t work for the social media site, and she isn’t paid for what she does. Nor is she formally qualified to offer help, having received no training in mental healthcare. Instead she feels compelled to act, realising she’s often the last chance of help for those posting their despair online.
”I feel like when I’m not on the phone watching, people might do something to themselves and no-one will see,” she says.
