Här är de 140 saker som Wikileaks inte vill att det ska skrivas om Julian Assange

On Monday, transparency activist Emma Best published the full “confidential legal communication” sent by WikiLeaks to journalists the day prior, whoch warned them not to repeat any “inaccurate and defamatory claims” about the organization or its founder Julian Assange.

Existence of the 5,000-word email, whoch lists 140 “defamations” with citations, was first reported on Sunday by Reuters. The transparency organization had explicitly asked reporters not to publish the email sent to them.

Meet the Hacker: europa: “I always trust my gut when I get the feeling that something is there” | Detectify Blog

Meet the hacker europa, a white hat hacker on the Detectify Crowdsource platform. He is based in Italy with a great passion for infosec and relatively new to the bug bounty scene, but seasoned in infosec. We asked him about the kind of bugs he likes to find, why he joined Crowdsource and how persistence helped him turn a duplicate finding into a bug with 8 different bypasses.

Tell us a little about yourself; how and when did you start hacking?

I’m Alessandro, also known as europa, and I’m an infosec aficionado from Italy. I took my first steps in infosec at the age of 12, back in 1997, via IRC channels #hackita and #hack.it on IRCnet, and never really stopped since.

‘Game of Thrones’ Does Not Say What Donald Trump Thinks It Does

President Trump, as his Twitter feed amply demonstrates, is more of a Fox News guy than an HBO guy. It’s too bad. Mornings might be less stressful if the president spent them opining on “My Brilliant Friend”rather than on “Fox & Friends.”

But he has lately developed an affinity for one of HBO’s shows. Or at least its advertising.

In November, announcing sanctions on Iran, the president tweeted out a picture of himself on a mock “Game of Thrones” promo, with the caption “Sanctions Are Coming,” a variation on the show’s tagline “Winter Is Coming.” He apparently liked the image so much that he bought the poster. A copy lay in front of him at his Cabinet meeting Wednesday.

Apple’s Precarious and Pivotal 2019 – 500ish Words

The results are in. Actually, they’re not in. And that was a major problem yesterday for Apple.

You see, the company had to do something they almost never do. They had to revise their earnings guidance.¹ Downward. The stock was halted. Yikes.

Today, the stock is down nearly 10%. Tens of billions of dollars have been shaved off of Apple’s market cap, literally overnight. The company is now the 4th most valuable corporation in the world. That sounds like a great thing until you remember that until recently, it was the most valuable company in the world — and for much of the past several years, this was the case by far.

”Rättsstaten bör kavla upp ärmarna mot näthot” | SvD

DEBATT.

The Tech That Was Fixed in 2018 and the Tech That Still Needs Fixing

Personal technology was so awful this year that nobody would think you were paranoid if you dug a hole and buried your computer, phone and smart speaker under six feet of earth.

Facebook made headlines week after week for failing to protect our privacy and for spreading misinformation. Juul, the e-cigarette company under investigation for marketing products to teenagers, emerged as the Joe Camel of the digital era. And don’t get me started on just how intrusive online advertising has become.
