A longtime prosecutor announced he will take over the Georgia election interference case against President Donald Trump and others, after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was removed from the case and no one else wanted the job.
The nonpartisan Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia was tasked with replacing Willis after she was disqualified over an “appearance of impropriety” created by a romantic relationship with the special prosecutor she’d chosen to lead the case. The organization’s executive director, Pete Skandalakis, said Friday that he would take the case on himself.

Nintendo has provided a brief comment on third-party Switch 2 docks, stating that the company has no intention of blocking them.
Earlier this week, version 21.0.0 was released for the system. While it brought some interesting elements to the table, it also apparently broke a few things as well. We already reported that Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl are having issues, but some third-party docks don’t seem to be functioning now as well.

AC/DC‘s first Australian concert in a decade was so powerful, it set off earthquake detection equipment.

The show – which was a long time coming for fans – proved to be a thunderous performance in more ways than one, as reports now claim that the concert was so big, seismic vibrations were recorded on earthquake equipment.
Per the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Adam Pascale, chief scientist at the Seismology Research Centre, said vibrations within the two to five hertz range were registered at their Richmond office, about three-and-a-half kilometres from the concert venue.

Apple was today denied permission to appeal the result of a billion-dollar lawsuit filed by UK app developers accusing the company of abusive commission levels.
The company last month lost the case and a hearing today is deciding how the damages are calculated. If the ruling stands, it is expected to end up costing Apple anywhere between £1B and £2B ($1.3B to $2.6B) – but Apple is expected to counter this with four arguments …

We recently shared how we are approaching AI in Firefox — with user choice and openness as our guiding principles. That’s because we believe AI should be built like the internet — open, accessible, and driven by choice — so that users and the developers helping to build it can use it as they wish, help shape it and truly benefit from it.
In Firefox, you’ll never be locked into one ecosystem or have AI forced into your browsing experience. You decide when, how or whether to use it at all. You’ve already seen this approach in action through some of our latest features like the AI chatbot in the sidebar for desktop or Shake to Summarizeon iOS.
