Dozens of YouTube channels are mixing AI-generated images and videos with false claims about Sean “Diddy” Combs’s blockbuster trial to pull in tens of millions of views on YouTube and cash in on misinformation.
Twenty-six channels generated nearly 70m views from roughly 900 AI-infused Diddy videos over the past 12 months, according to data gathered from YouTube.
The channels appear to follow a similar formula. Each video typically has a title and AI-generated thumbnail that links a celebrity to Diddy via a false claim, such as that the celebrity just testified at the trial, that Diddy coerced that celebrity into a sexual act or that the celeb shared a shocking revelation about Diddy. The thumbnails often depict the celebrity on the stand juxtaposed with an image of Diddy. Some depict Diddy and the celebrity in a compromising situation. The vast majority of thumbnails use made-up quotes meant to shock people, such as “F*CKED ME FOR 16 HOURS”, “DIDDY F*CKED BIEBER LIFE” and “SHE SOLD HIM TO DIDDY”.

Microsoft is once again aggressively pushing users to move from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This time, the Redmond firm is boasting that the newer OS is up to 2.3x faster than its predecessor – but fails to mention its deeply flawed testing methodology.
Tech giants aren’t renowned for their honesty and openness. When it comes to making claims and pointing to benchmarks, it’s not just Nvidiathat plays fast and loose with the truth.

FRANKFURT, June 27 (Reuters) – Germany’s data protection commissioner has asked Apple (AAPL.O), opens new taband Google (GOOGL.O), opens new tab to remove Chinese AI startup DeepSeek from their app stores in the country due to concerns about data protection, following a similar crackdown elsewhere.

Google said it had received the notice and was reviewing it.

The Danish government is to clamp down on the creation and dissemination of AI-generated deepfakes by changing copyright law to ensure that everybody has the right to their own body, facial features and voice.
The Danish government said on Thursday it would strengthen protection against digital imitations of people’s identities with what it believes to be the first law of its kind in Europe.
Having secured broad cross-party agreement, the department of culture plans to submit a proposal to amend the current law for consultation before the summer recess and then submit the amendment in the autumn.

Just days after issuing a voluntary recall for the Anker PowerCore 10000, the company has now issued a second, broader recall, this time with global reach and five additional power bank models affected.
Anker says the move is a proactive step following recent improvements to its internal quality assurance systems. While the company claims the risk of malfunction is low, it’s recalling the affected models “out of an abundance of caution.” All five power banks flagged in the recall use lithium-ion battery cells sourced from the same supplier.

According to Apple leaker Majin Bu, Apple will once again be repositioning the Apple logo on the next iPhone. Apple last repositioned the Apple logo with the iPhone 11 lineup, and it’s remained centered on the iPhone ever since. Six years later, that may be changing once again – if this rumor holds up.
Majin Bu has a spotty track record with Apple rumors, though they have shared a number of accurate tidbits in the past, including the ‘Desert Titanium’ marketing name for the new iPhone 16 Pro color well in advance. For this reason, it’s worth covering – even though the rumor doesn’t make the most sense.
