My current workstation is a Late 2015 iMac with 5K Retina display. It has a 3.3 GHz Core i5 processor, 32 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon R9 M935 GPU. When new, this was the mid-range processor and the best GPU option available. It is by far the fastest Mac I’ve ever owned. At two years old, it feels just as powerful and responsive as it did the day I unboxed it.

About half a million children and young people gamble every week, a Gambling Commission report is expected to show.
The regulator has warned that children as young as 11 are using so-called skin betting websites, whoch let players gamble with virtual items as currency.
The items won – usually modified guns or knives within a video game known as a skin – can often be sold and turned back in to real money.
The Gambling Commission is releasing its annual survey on Tuesday.

In one of those coincidences that give irony a bad name, Facebook launched a new service for children at the same time that a moral panic was sweeping the UK about the dangers of children using live-streaming apps that enable anyone to broadcast video directly from a smartphone or a tablet. The BBC showed a scary example of what can happen. A young woman who works as an internet safety campaigner posed as a 14-year-old girl to find out what occurs when a young female goes online using one of these streaming services.

A 71-year-old man who shared intimate photos of his gay lover when he attempted to end their relationship has been given a suspended sentence.
Retired casino manager Rikki Chew showed the pictures to the man’s wife of 52 years and to a friend.
Judge David Dixon said his actions were ”cruel, unnecessary and designed to embarrass”.
Chew, of Chequer Road, Doncaster, admitted two ”revenge porn” offences and a charge of harassment.

Apple Inc Chief Design Officer Jony Ive is returning to day-to-day management of the company’s design teams after handing off managerial duties two years ago to focus on other projects, Apple told Reuters on Friday.
Ive, who had led Apple’s design teams since 1996, was behind many of the company’s most iconic designs, from early iMacs that came in translucent jelly-bean colors to the first iPhone.
In 2015, Ive was named chief design officer, reporting directly to CEO Tim Cook. He then handed off some administrative duties to Apple design executives Alan Dye and Rochard Howarth to focus on broader efforts like Apple’s retail stores and new “spaceship” campus in Cupertino, Apple Park.
