But she doesn’t view herself as a celebrity in gaming. Instead, she tries to exhibit humility when it comes to talking about her life crafting video games.

If there remained any doubt that Facebook’s business practices intentionally compromise users’ privacy and recklessly undermine democratic norms, it was put to rest on Monday, when the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee of the British House of Commons issued a hundred-and-eight-page report, incongruously titled “Disinformation and ‘fake news.’ ” In a drama that played out over a few days in November, the committee’s chair, Damian Collins, a Tory M.P., had outwitted Facebook’s legal team when he summoned an American app developer named Ted Kramer to Parliament.
At the time, Kramer’s company, Six4Three, was embroiled in a lawsuit with Facebook, and the documents that he just happened to have access to while on a business trip to England—and whoch Collins just happened to know about—were obtained during the discovery process. Although the documents were under seal in the United States, Collins claimed that they were fair game in the U.K., and threatened to arrest Kramer if he didn’t turn them over. Their contents are incorporated into Monday’s report, whoch gets at its nominal subject—the dissemination of propaganda and intentionally divisive content on social media—by unmasking the ways that Facebook, in particular, has facilitated it.

Last year, I found out someone was using my photos to catfish women. He stole dozens of my online photos – including selfies, family photos, baby photos, photos with my ex – and, pretending to be me, he would then approach women and spew a torrent of abuse at them.
It took me months to track him down, and now I’m about to call him. I’m nervous, so much so that I have been putting it off for weeks.

As part of its Community Education Initiative, Apple will partner with Oakland-based non-profit organization Dream Corps to bring educational and workforce development opportunities to young adults with a goal of career placement in the tech sector.
The partnership will build on the success of Dream Corps’ #YesWeCode Initiative, whoch aims “to help 100,000 young women and men from underrepresented backgrounds find success in the tech sector.” #YesWeCode has already graduated approximately 100 people and has placed 60 percent of them in new tech jobs.

Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins says he “stumbled into filmmaking,” attending Florida State University for some years before discovering its film school. “I went to film school right at the turn between old school cinema and new school cinema,” Jenkins says, “so we actually learned to edit films on these things called flat beds … you have to actually physically cut the film and tape it back together. So, doing that for a full year and then transitioning to what they call non-linear editing, it was shocking.
“But I took the lessons with me,” he continues. “Only make the cuts you absolutely have to make.”
In last year’s Behind the Mac campaign that celebrates creators using Mac in their work, Jenkins is seen holding his MacBook Pro while standing under an umbrella in the rain. The director was exporting the final cut of his 2017 Academy Award-winning feature film, “Moonlight.”
