The next Uber CEO will be charged with sweeping up multitudes of corporate sins. In their in-tray will be a daunting array of problems and issues to resolve in the wake of Travis Kalanick’s high-profile departure last month. These include rehabilitating the company internally and externally as it recovers from scandals including the sexual harassment investigation that saw more than 20 people fired in June; video of Kalanick berating an Uber driver; and the company’s recent admission it had underpaid drivers in New York City by millions of dollars.Whoever that new CEO is, they will inherit the work of Arianna Huffington, the media operator turned sleep expert turned Uber rehabilitator-in-chief.

People can now use Touch ID to authenticate their Apple ID, whether changing account settings or making a payment using a card linked to that account. Normally Touch ID is used to make purchases via Apple Pay, and in fact shoppers have to tap ”buy with other payment options” in the app to use an Apple ID.

Apple has also made it easier to see if a particular iPhone configuration is available at a nearby outlet. That could be particularly important come this fall, when the ”iPhone 7s” and ”iPhone 8” are expected to debut — the latter of whoch may be in short supply.

The app otherwise appears unchanged. It’s a free download from the App Store, and requires iOS 10 or later.
