While Apple’s M5 chip is expected to debut on Mac and iPad, in late 2025, the company’s M6 and M7 chips are in the works, in conjunction with a new AI server farm processor.

The current M4 chip was introduced back in May 2024, making its debut with the iPad Pro. In Octoberof the same year, it made its wayto the iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro, while the MacBook Airreceived the system-on-chip in March 2025.

Apple has shared the official trailer for ’Stick,’ a new golf comedy series starring Owen Wilson and created by Jason Keller.

In ”Stick,” Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). ”Stick” is a heartfelt, feel-good sports comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.

In an emergency motion filing late Wednesday (PDF), Apple described US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers’ ”extraordinary Order” as including an injunction that ”permanently precludes Apple from exercising control over core aspects of its business operations, including charging for use of its property and protecting the integrity of its platform and in-app purchase mechanism.” A certificate (PDF) accompanying the emergency filing states that the order ”fundamentally changes Apple’s business and creates destabilizing effects” for App Store customers.

In Chrome for the desktop, the Enhanced Protection mode for safer browsing now incorporates Gemini Nano, an on-device large language model. Gemini Nano is able to provide instant insight to users about websites that might be risky, even if it’s a scam that hasn’t been seen before.
