As Nintendo takes its shot at the box office with “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” the first animated film featuring the iconic mustachioed plumber, the gaming company has been coy about revealing what’s next for the Super Mario video game franchise. But while Shigeru Miyamoto — the legendary video game designer, Nintendo fellow and self-proclaimed “Mario’s mom” — won’t say where Mario is running next, he is forthright about where he won’t be: your smartphone.

Last month, Microsoft announced that it would integrate its Bing search engine with OpenAI’s DALL∙E to let Edge web browser users generate images using text. While, at first, this feature was only available to a limited number of users, Microsoft confirmed this week that it is now rolling out the new Edge image generator to everyone.

Netflix has canceled its drama series Sex/Life after two seasons.
The decision comes five weeks after the show’s second season (consisting of six episodes, down from eight in season one) debuted — and three weeks after star Sarah Shahi signed on to star in Judgement, a legal drama in contention for next season at ABC.

Banning TikTok has been a hot topic in Congress lately. But if lawmakers go through with a ban on the social network owned by Chinese company ByteDance, the US could end up banning or restricting access to many more apps and technology products than just TikTok.
A leading ”TikTok ban” candidate is the RESTRICT Act, or the Restricting the Emergence of Security Threats that Risk Information and Communications Technology Act. The bipartisan Senate bill was introduced a month ago and endorsed by the White House in an official statement from National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. The Biden administration reportedly provided feedback on a draft of the proposed law before it was announced.
