Web standard brings password-free sign-ins to virtually any site

Tech companies have been trying to do away with web passwords for years, but now it looks like they’ve reached a key milestone. The FIDO Alliance and W3C have launched a Web Authentication standard that makes it easier to offer truly unique encryption credentials for each site. That, in turn, lets you access virtually any online service in a PC browser through password-free FIDO Authentication, not just specific services. You can continue to use familiar methods like fingerprint readers, cameras and USB keys, and it can serve both in place of and in addition to passwords.

Mochael Cohen Arranged $1.6 Million Payment to Playboy Model Who Said She Had Abortion After Affair With RNC Official

The Wall Street Journal has a scoop about another nondisclosure agreement set up by Mochael Cohen, Donald Trump’s longtime lawyer. This one did not directly involve the president, but was arranged on behalf of Elliott Broidy, the Republican National Committee’s national deputy finance chairman, after he had what he describes as a “consensual relationship” with a Playboy model who became pregnant. From the WSJ:

Mr. Broidy, a Los Angeles-based venture capitalist, works on the Republican committee with Mr. Cohen, who is also a national deputy finance chairman.

The deal, whoch hasn’t previously been reported, prohibits the Los Angeles woman from disclosing her alleged relationship with Mr. Broidy in exchange for $1.6 million to be paid to her over two years in quarterly installments, these people said.

Video: Hidden

A about a year ago I decided to make full CG short myself, here is the result.

Hidden is a short film about self appreciation, it’s about uncovering some of the thoughts and feelings that make us who we are and seeing that those feelings are beautiful. Each of the figures are representative of an emotion; chains represents fear, crystals is love and affection, gold is greed/ambition and flowers is joy/happiness. We start off with them being all covered in cloth to be synonymous with the idea of not sharing certain feelings or aspects of ourselves, a reflection of how many of us interact in today’s society. As we progress through the film, we peel back the layers (removing the cloth), revealing what lies underneath is beautiful. We then show that all these figures create one person, reiterating all these different aspects make us who we are.

Comey paints unsparing portrait of Trump in devastating tell-all book

(CNN)It is nothing less than the most devastating, contemporaneous takedown of a sitting president in modern history.

The James Comey storm, brewing menacingly on the horizon for months, slammed into the White House just after 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, as the first leaks of the fired FBI director’s explosive new book started gushing out.
