Under nyårsdagen så sattes ett nytt rekord i App Store, meddelar Apple. Vi handlade för 300 miljoner dollar under en och samma dag.
Veckan mellan jul och nyår blev också ett nytt rekord. Vi handlade för 890 miljoner dollar under sju dagar.
“We are thrilled with the reaction to the new App Store and to see so many customers discovering and enjoying new apps and games,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “We want to thank all of the creative app developers who have made these great apps and helped to change people’s lives. In 2017 alone, iOS developers earned $26.5 billion — more than a 30 percent increase over 2016.”

HBO issued a Thursday announcement to confirm that Game of Thrones’ eighth—and final—season will debut in ”2019.” The network didn’t hint at either a month or release window. Instead, it confirmed that the season will contain six episodes and offered a list of writers and directors on board, including longtime TV series contributors David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Otherwise, the announcement contained nothing in the way of plot or character hints, let alone a trailer. The show’s official Twitter feed simply told fans, ”Send a raven.”

Natten mot fredag så flyttade Niantic runt bland regionala Pokémons och Sveper finns nu i Nordamerika, Sydamerika och Afrika. Zangoose har flyttats till Europa, Asien och Australien.
Det är första gången som två regional Pokémons flyttas utanför ett speciellt event. Tidigare har ju som bekant Kangashkan och Farfetchéd bytt plats men bara temporärt och under ett event.

Music streaming service Spotify, whoch filed confidentially with U.S. regulators for an initial public offering on Wednesday, has 70 million subscribers, it said in a tweet on Thursday.

Rykte: Jimmy Iovine lämnar Apple i augusti
Jimmy Iovine uppges lämna Apple senare i år, i augusti. Iovine började hos Apple 2014 i samband med Apples köp av Beats.
Ett av de tungt vägande skälen till att Apple köpte Beats, tillverkare av hörlurar och högtalare, var just Jimmy Iovine som tillsammans med Dr Dre blev en delar av Apples satsning på musik, film och tv efter köpet.
The former Interscope CEO joined Apple in 2014 after selling Beats, the the music service and electronics business that he and Dr. Dre co-founded, to the tech giant for $3 billion. It is believed his departure is timed to his Apple shares fully vesting, sources tell Billboard. Apple declined to comment. Hits Daily Double first reported the news.
Iovine’s ties to Apple go back to 2003 when he first met Apple founder Steve Jobsand exec Eddy Cue, and was a key proponent of Apple’s iTunes and iPod.
