Apple fortsätter att värva chefer till sitt TV-projekt. Den senaste i raden är Dana Tuinie, tidigare chef inom Paramount.
Dana Tuinie kommer att ta hand om de nya komediserier som Apple planerar tillsammans med Reese Witherspoons bolag Hello Sunshine.
Tuinier will report to Apple’s head of development Matt Cherniss. She will work on Apple’s recently acquired half-hour comedy series, whoch will be executive produced by Kristen Wiig and produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
The new exec will also develop and oversee new comedy projects, whoch are coming in thick and fast at Apple. The streamer also picked-up a dramedy starring Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, whoch is yet to be named.

For the third and final contribution to Contour 8 Biennale, inhabitants has commissioned Adam Khalil and Zack Khalil in order to host an urgent reflection on indigenous sovereignty, the undead violence of museum archives, and post-mortem justice.
Filmmakers Adam and Zack Khalil, in collaboration with artist Jackson Polys, investigate the recent court case that decided the fate of the remains of a prehistoric Paleoamerican man found in Kennewick, Washington State in 1996. The case pitted the Umatilla people and other tribes, who wanted to provide a burial to the “Ancient One”, against two scientists—one of whoch from the publicly-funded Smithsonian Institute—who wanted to study the “Kennewick Man”. In order for the claim to fall under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) it became necessary to establish the lineage of these remains. This fight unleashed a controversy with groups attempting to establish white ancestry, and with this seeking to altogether undermine the indigenous sovereignty over land and ancestors and annul centuries of colonial violence. The evolving science of DNA and cranial morphology was grotesquely called in to testify to the purity of the bones’ ethnicity, where native claims to embodied knowledge of its origin had little means of addressing the court. Despite all of this, the Umatilla people and other tribes ultimately repatriated the “Ancient One” and he was reburied earlier this year in 2017.

Apple Music, Spotify och liknande tjänster kommer att få betala mer i ersättningar till de som skapar och publicerar musik, uppger the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) som just slutfört förhandlingarna om ett nytt musikavtal.
Enligt NMPA så innebär det nya avtalet att en del av beräkningarna för ersättningarna höjs med drygt 43 procent vilket i slutändan kommer att innebära högre totala ersättningar.
According to the NMPA announcement, it looks like at least two tiers of the three-tier formula used to determining music publishing royalties are still in effect. The NMPA revealed that rates will increase from 10.5 percent to 15.1 percent of revenue during the five-year term — that’s a 43.81 percent increase over the term, although the NMPA didn’t specify what increased rates would come into effect at what intervals.

“We are thrilled the [Copyright Royalty Board] raised rates for songwriters by 43.8 percent — the biggest rate increase granted in CRB history,” NMPA president/CEO David Israelite said in a statement.
