Since Elon Musk became Twitter’s CEO, he’s been pushing through a lot of changes to the social network. But perhaps none of them have been as controversial as Twitter’s recent rebranding to “X” (although the Twitter name is still everywhere). And now it seems another change is coming soon. According to Musk, Twitter will soon get rid of light mode.
Musk is known for interacting a lot on his personal Twitter account (or X, whatever you want to call it since even the company still uses both names). And in a recent reply to a user, the billionaire said the platform “will soon only have dark mode” since that mode “is better in every way.”

Epic Games is asking the United States Supreme Court to uphold a recent ruling made by a lower court, hoping the highest court will unpause an injunction against Apple and force the company’s hand with App Store payment systems.
While the majority of legal decisions in the Epic Games vs. Apple lawsuit have gone in Apple’s direction, there is one that didn’t — anti-steering rules in the digital storefront. Unsurprisingly, Apple petitioned the Supreme Court to review the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision.
As a result of that petition, Apple can technically delay any major changes to the App Store. By default, the company now has 90 days before it needs to make any changes, and it could get even longer if SCOTUS decides to hear the case.

Monster Hunter Now, a mobile spin-off of the Capcom series, will be launching worldwide in September. Pre-registration is live now for iOS and Android devices with rewards once a certain number of sign-ups is surpassed.
As an augmented reality (AR) game, Monster Hunter Now is comparable to Pokémon Go, and is in fact developed by Niantic too. Whereas the main Monster Hunter games are notorious for their intricate and lengthy battles with the beasts, this game’s encounters will last a maximum of 75 seconds, which is much more suited for casual, curious fans.

Netflix has triggered an angry response from striking Hollywood actors and writers after posting a job advert for an artificial intelligence (AI) expert.
The new position would join its Machine Learning Platform team, which drives the Netflix algorithm helping viewers pick new programmes to watch.
It pays up to $900,000 (£700,000) per year, fuelling further outrage.
Hollywood unions are striking over concerns about how AI affects the entertainment industry and pay.
The job listing, which was first reported by The Intercept on Tuesday, is one of several listed on the Netflix job page that calls for applicants with experience in machine learning (ML) and AI.
It is unclear from the expansive job advert whether the role will advise on content – the TV programmes and films that Netflix chooses to invest in.
