Bruce Springsteen has revealed that Deliver Me From Nowhere, his forthcoming biopic, contained moments from his life that were so “painful” he couldn’t be on set.
The film, directed by Scott Cooper and starring Jeremy Allen White, chronicles the New Jersey legend’s journey to recording his sixth album, ‘Nebraska’, in 1982. On the edge of becoming a worldwide phenomenon, the film will show the artist at a much more vulnerable moment in his life. Succession star Jeremy Strong plays Jon Landau, Springsteen’s manager and record producer; while Adolescence actor Stephen Graham portrays his father, Douglas Springsteen.
