Apple Music testing feature that easily imports playlists from Spotify and other services – 9to5Mac

Apple Music appears to be beta testing integration with a service called SongShift, for transferring music from other services into Apple Music. The feature is currently being A/B tested in the latest beta version of Apple Music on Android, according to user reports on Reddit.

For those unfamiliar, SongShift is a third-party service that has been available for years. It lets users easily move their music libraries and playlists between different music streaming services. For instance, you can use the SongShift app to transfer your playlists from Apple Music to Spotify or vice versa.

Someone claims to have accidentally downloaded malware by plugging a cheap vibrator from the mall store Spencer’s into their computer. If true, it’d be one of the first times this type of attack has been documented. So we decided to do our best to replicate this.

Reddit user VegetableLuck posted to r/malware that they bought a small vibrator from the mall, plugged it into their computer’s USB port to charge “without any thought,” and claimed that it downloaded a file flagged by their system’s anti-virus protection software as malware.

The second-generation version of Apple’s Vision Pro headset is at least 18 months away from launch, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports.

Gurman noted that Apple is keenly interested in the reasons why customers who choose to return the first-generation Vision Pro headset do so, ultimately passing feedback from retail stores to the company’s headquarters to help perfect the next version of the device.

An app purporting to be for the Rabby Wallet crypto service, is the latest failure for Apple’s App Storereview team.

Apple’s Phil Schiller has correctly said that the EU’s requirement for alternative app stores weakens the iPhone’s security, but that vaunted security has yet again proven to be vulnerable. Following the recent discovery of a movie piracy app and one impersonating the password manager LastPass on the App Store, now a fake blockchain app has been taking users’ money.
