With the recent news that GM plans to ditch Apple CarPlay, anyone invested in Apple’s ecosystem might be wondering if other car companies will do the same. Apparently, you won’t see Ford following that bandwagon, as the company told 9to5Mac that it remains committed to CarPlay.

“We continue to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto because customers love the capability that enables easy access and control of their smartphone apps–especially our EV customers because some EVs currently do not offer the features,” a Ford spokesperson said to 9to5Mac.

You know the drill by now. In October of 2020, the NY Post ran a story about the contents of a laptop hard drive that Hunter Biden apparently left at a computer repair store. There were questions about the provenance of that hard drive, and, given the history of foreign election interference, as well as some questions about the story itself, Twitter made the (ultimately unwise and mistaken) decision to block links to that story, and (in some cases) to suspend accounts that were sharing it. A day later, the company admitted this was a mistake and changed its policy.

April 13 (Reuters) – Alphabet’s Google (GOOGL.O) received a mixed ruling on Thursday from a San Francisco federal judge in a patent lawsuit brought by Sonos Inc (SONO.O) over wireless audio technology, failing to invalidate all of the patents before a trial but narrowing Sonos’ claims.

The case, set for trial May 8, is part of a contentious intellectual property dispute between the former business partners over their smart speakers that includes lawsuits in the United States, Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Apple is tonight launching the rumored multiview feature for Apple TV sports streaming in beta. The feature will be available on today’s MLB Friday Night Baseball streams for customers using Apple TV 4K with the tvOS 16.5 beta.

The feature will also be available for the dozen MLS Season Pass games this weekend. Apple hasn’t officially announced when the Multiview feature will be available to everyone, although we can expect tvOS 16.5 to be out of beta within a month or so.
