Jimmy Iovine har nu kommenterat förra veckans uppgifter om att han planerar att lämna Apple senare i sommar.

– I am almost 65, have been with Apple for four years and in 2 1/2 years the [Apple Music] service has gotten to well over 30 million subscribers and Beats has continued its successful run. But there’s still a lot more we’d like to do. I am committed to doing whatever Eddy [Cue], Tim [Cook] and Apple need me to do, to help wherever and however I can, to take this all the way. I am in the band, säger Iovine till amerikanska Variety.

Uppgifterna publicerades av Billboard förra veckan som hänvisade till källor. Ett av skälen skulle vara, enligt Billboard, att Iovines aktier i Apple nu gick att sälja. Den tilldelning av aktier som Jimmy Iovine fått efter det att Apple köpte Beats är/var bundna av avtal som reglerar när i tiden de fåt säljas. Billboards källor hävdade att aktierna nu var möjliga att sälja och att Jimmy Iovine nu planerade att sälja sina aktier, ta hem pengarna och sluta inom Apple.

– All this stuff you’re seeing in the newspapers, let me tell you, my stock vested a long time ago, kommenterade Jimmy Iovine uppgifterna i samband med ett framträdande med public på Grammy Museum.
