Last month, members and supporters of French activist group Attac (the Association for the Taxation of Financial Transactions and Aid to Citizens) peacefully occupied Apple’s flagship store in Paris in order to protest alleged tax evasion committed by the company. Now, according to French publication The Local, Apple is reportedly suing Attac for €3,000 (whoch is approximately $3,600 USD). In addition, Apple is asking for a court order barring the activist group from staging any more protests within Apple stores.

TED: Hur Kina förändrar vårt sätt att handla
China is a huge laboratory of innovation, says retail expert Angela Wang, and in this lab, everything takes place on people’s phones. Five hundred million Chinese consumers — the equivalent of the combined populations of the US, UK and Germany — regularly make purchases via mobile platforms, even in brick-and-mortar stores. What will this transformation mean for the future of shopping? Learn more about the new business-as-usual, where everything is ultra-convenient, ultra-flexible and ultra-social.

Security researchers have recently uncovered security issues known by two names, Meltdown and Spectre. These issues apply to all modern processors and affect nearly all computing devices and operating systems. All Mac systems and iOS devices are affected, but there are no known exploits impacting customers at this time. Since exploiting many of these issues requires a malicious app to be loaded on your Mac or iOS device, we recommend downloading software only from trusted sources such as the App Store. Apple has already released mitigations in iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2, and tvOS 11.2 to help defend against Meltdown. Apple Watch is not affected by Meltdown.
Inom kort kommer även en uppdatering av Apples webbläsare Safari som ska åtgärda buggen/buggarna.

‘Slender Man’ trailer is proof some things shouldn’t leave the internet
I suppose it’s better that the first internet-inspired meme to hit theaters will be the Slender Man instead of Grumpy Cat (whose movie was straight to video, chumps!), but creepy copypasta from the internet’s teenage days sounds like a terribly thin base for, y’know, a feature-length production. But some industry exec’s kid probably got spooked from a Slender Man thing once and idea-strapped Hollywood decided to spend money adapting web-bred spoopiness into a horror flick. Behold, the trailer for Slender Man.
