Uber loses bid to appeal driver case to UK Supreme Court
Uber’s request to appeal a workers’ rights decision to the UK Supreme Court was rejected, according to drivers’ union Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB).
The decision would mean that the Court of Appeal will have to hear the case first.
Two weeks ago, the ride-hailing app submitted a request to appeal directly to the Supreme Court a decision by a British tribunal that said its drivers deserved workers rights such as minimum wage.

Mid 2011 models have officially been classified as vintage or obsolete as of November 30, 2017, according to an internal memo distributed to Apple Authorized Service Providers and later obtained by MacRumors.
The distinction means that Apple and Apple Authorized Service Providers will no longer repair or service the 2011 Mac mini, given over five years have passed since it was last manufactured, except where required by law.

Salutations. Greetings, old sport. I humbly greet you with a wave of my white-gloved hand. Is this how middle-class people greet one another? Im only asking because I want to make sure youre a middle-class American just like I am. I, of course, know how common citizens of this country say hello, for you see, I too am a middle-class person. And, like all middle-class Americans, I sure am excited to reap the rewards of the brand new Republican tax plan.
