A botched firmware update for Samsung smart TVs has left many owners unable to use their devices, two weeks after it happened.The issue affects only UK owners of newer models of smart TVs. Users reported blank blue screens for Samsung smart TVs models such as UE50MU6100K, UE49MU7070, UE49MU7070TXXU, and MU6409.Based on information supplied by angry Samsung customers in three topics on the company’s support forum [1, 2, 3], the TVs stopped working after a firmware updated delivered starting two weeks ago.It is unclear how many users have been affected at the time of writing, as Samsung has not issued any statement on the incident.
