Digitimes today reports that Apple is reallocating MacBook Pro orders from Quanta to Foxconn in order to lower costs and reduce risks. The company is willing to shift production this year reportedly because Apple does not have a major hardware update for MacBook Pro in the pipeline for this year.

Fans of the MacBook Pro will be interested to learn of the latest report to come out of the notoriously unreliable DigiTimes, with the site claiming that Apple will not offer a major MacBook Pro upgrade during 2018.
That obviously does not mean that we will not see a slight refresh or specification bump of the line during the next 12 months.
