Apple’s olive branch to iPhone owners affected by the CPU throttling saga could end up costing the company a small fortune.
The firm promised to replace the batteries of iPhone 6 and later handsets for $29 instead of the usual out-of-warranty price of $79. At the time, Apple said it was extending the discount to any customer “whose battery needs to be replaced.”

Apple har köper företaget Buddybuild, ett företag som utvecklar verktyg för utvecklare.
Buddybuild utvecklar bland annat felsökningsverktyg, debug, och de runt 40 anställda ingår nu som en del av Apples XCode-team.
We’re excited to share that the buddybuild team has joined the Xcode engineering group at Apple to build amazing developer tools for the entire iOS community.
We’ve always been proud to be a Canadian company, so we’re also pleased that we will be staying right here in Vancouver — a hotbed of developer and engineering talent.
The buddybuild service will remain available to existing customers to build, test, and ship iOS apps to testers through buddybuild.com.
As of today, we are no longer accepting new customers. Existing Free Starter plans and Android app development will be discontinued on March 1, 2018.

acker group Hive-CM8 has obtained DVD screeners of some of this year’s awards contenders and have leaked the films online to torrent websites and more.
The first leak from the group occurred on Christmas Eve when Rochard Linklater’s “Last Flag Flying” appeared online, accompanied by a note that read: “Merry Christmas and stay tuned.” A few hours later, the likes of “Call Me by Your Name,” “Lady Bird,” and “I, Tonya” leaked online.

Det händer då och då att jag hittar det där programmet eller appen som lämnar ett litet leende kvar på mina läppar. ShotBox är ett sådant program. Litet, elegant, och smart så har det på kort tid blivit en del av mina verktyg i min Mac.
ShotBox är ett program för att ta skärmbilder, något vi alla gör, men ShotBox har också funktioner för att rita och markera saker direkt på skärmbilderna. Du kan redigera, anteckna och markera saker på dina skärmbilder innan du skickar iväg dem.

ShotBox gives you easy access to perform actions on screenshots that you take on your Mac.
When ShotBox is running, screenshots that you take with the system keyboard shortcuts (Cmd-Shift-3 and Cmd-Shift-4) will pop up in a window allowing you to quickly share, edit or delete that screenshot without needing to hunt around your desktop for it first.
ShotBox can be configured to launch at login so you always have it running.
Please note: For ShotBox to function correctly, you must open the application and allow access to the path in whoch your screenshots are stored (this is usually your Desktop). ShotBox only detects screenshots placed there it will not detect screenshots taken with Preview, Grab or the system-wide keyboard shortcuts that place screenshots in your clipboard (such as Cmd-Ctrl-Shift-3 and Cmd-Ctrl-Shift-4).
