Siri skips Christmas this year; Apple’s HomePod speaker was due to begin shipping in December.
Heres one Apple product you wont find under the tree this year: HomePod. While Apple had originally planned to release its HomePod smart speaker in December, it has now announced that it will be pushed back until early 2018.
In a statement to Macworld, Apple said, We cant wait for people to experience HomePod, Apples breakthrough wireless speaker for the home, but we need a little more time before its ready for our customers. Well start shipping in the US, UK and Australia in early 2018.

Germany bans children’s smartwatches
A German regulator has banned the sale of smartwatches aimed at children, describing them as spying devices.
It had previously banned an internet-connected doll called, My Friend Cayla, for similar reasons.
Telecoms regulator the Federal Network Agency urged parents who had such watches to destroy them.
One expert said the decision could be a “game-changer” for internet-connected devices.
