An online security breach at a national printing chain leaked thousands of sensitive documents from labor filings involving NFL players to lawsuits against Hollywood studios to personal immigration-related papers raising the possibility that private information could end up in the wrong hands. The leak at PIP printing, which has more than 400 locations in 13 countries, went on for four months before it was repaired Tuesday, cybersecurity experts involved in investigating the breach told NBC News. But there’s no evidence that any hackers may have stumbled upon the files to use them for malicious purposes, they add.The documents, which NBC News examined, ranges from emails revealing credit card and social security numbers to legal filings such as depositions, subpoenas and labor lawsuits. Extensive medical records belonging to high-profile athletes were also at risk.
A representative from Apple has met with the government-affiliated China Consumer Association, advising the watchdog of the progress it has made in combatting the battery issues plaguing some iPhone 6s units. A corporate-level executive attended the meeting in Beijing, according to a statement reported by Quartz, updating CCA on its handling of an issue where some iPhones would shut down prematurely. Affected iPhone 6s units produced between September and October 2015 are reportedly turning off with roughly half of the battery’s charge remaining, with also room temperatures also causing unexpected shutdowns. Apple does not believe the malfunctioning iPhones pose a safety issue for consumers, the CCA writes, and that the company will continue to guarantee battery replacements for affected handsets. In December, Apple launched an online tool where users can enter the serial number of a suspect iPhone 6s to check if they are eligible for a replacement battery, and whether to contact Apple technical support or an Apple Store to change it.
Oracle refuses to let Java copyright battle die another appeal filed in war against Google The Register
Oracle has brought its legal war with Google back to life, alleging Android’s Java framework ripped off Big Red’s copyright.
According to a lengthy court document filed today by the database giant, and obtained by El Reg, Oracle will once again make its case that Google violated copyrights it holds on core Java libraries.
The House of Hurd n’ Catz claims it should get yet another trial because it wasn’t able to present evidence in the first handful of cases that it thinks will turn the tables.
“Although Oracle is entitled to judgment on the evidence the jury heard, Oracle’s actual case against fair use was far stronger,” the filing reads. “At every turn, in countless ways, the district court issued rulings that obstructed Oracle’s case.”
The filing is the latest in the years-long battle between Google and Oracle over allegations that Google used Oracle-copyrighted core Java APIs to create its Android operating system.
Man kunde hitta henne via appen Find my Iphone. Via den kunde man se vart hon befann sig, säger Simon Wormö, RLC-befäl vid polisen.
Only the interaction of sky and earth allows for life to evolve and the landscape to bloom. The short film shows a natural spectacle turning a sparse and dry landscape into a fruitful place bearing new life. The interplay between sky and earth has allusions to a sensual love act as a metaphor to express the dependency and perfect correlation of both elements.
