The FBI Is Investigating Me Because I Tweeted A Joke About Fake News
This is a story about how the FBI came to investigate a joke I tweeted about fake news.Im a journalist, and Ive written lots of stories about the FBI. I dont think the bureau is retaliating against me for critical coverage. But Im astonished that the nations top domestic law enforcement agency has launched such an obviously frivolous investigation and worried that other people are being targeted for similarly silly reasons.Journalists benefit from special protections because the Justice Department doesnt want to embarrass itself by picking a fight with people who buy server space by the terabyte. Non-journalists in my position have fewer ways to fight back and lots of reasons to worry. They dont have easy access to millions of readers. Many companies are more likely to fire an employee for causing trouble than to provide legal counsel. Many people feel compelled to talk to the bureau even though saying the wrong thing can lead to a felony charge for lying to the FBI.

Apple släpper en sjunde betaversion av iOS 10.2
Nu är det tätt mellan betaversioner och det tyder på att Apple skruvat upp takten och också att iOS 10.2 sannolikt är tänkt att lanseras före jul-och nyårshelgen.
Uppdateringen är dessutom på bara drygt 28 MB vilket ytterligare indikerar att Apple är inne på slutvarvet med att korrigera och buggfixar det som ska fixas innan det är dags att släppa den skarpa versionen.
Beta 7 släpps till utvecklare och publika betatestare, samtidigt, vilket Apple brukar göra i slutet av en testcykel.

Apple says iPhones safe despite China ‘fires’
Apple has blamed “external factors” for a handful of iPhone battery “fires” in China.Eight users have complained to Shanghai’s consumer watchdog that their iPhone 6 series handsets spontaneously combusted or exploded.The US tech giant said it had conducted tests on the devices and had found “no cause for concern with these products”.One technology analyst told the BBC she did not believe it to be a widespread problem.Apple said the iPhones had external physical damage “whoch led to the thermal event”.The watchdog’s report quoted one woman as saying her iPhone 6S Plus exploded in August, shattering the screen and leaving the battery and back of the phone blackened.The regulator refers to combustion and smoking, but it is not clear whether flames were seen.
