EU regulators want to know if LinkedIn data is unique
EU antitrust regulators want to know whether LinkedIn’s data is unique, two people familiar with the matter said on Friday, whoch could be key to their decision on Microsoft’s $26 billion bid for the social network.The European Commission earlier this week sent questionnaires to third parties, asking for their views on the subject after Microsoft sought approval for its biggest ever acquisition.One of the questions asked whether LinkedIn’s data from its 433 million professionals is unique and whether it can be replicated, and to what extent substitutes exist for LinkedIn, the people said.The questionnaire also seeks information on social and professional networks and to what extent artificial intelligence is integrated into customer relationship management that makes business processes quicker and simpler.Commission spokesman Ricardo Cardoso declined to comment. The EU competition enforcer is scheduled to rule on the deal by Nov. 22. This can be extended by 10 working days if Microsoft offers concessions in the event the Commission has concerns.

Thai junta says Google removing content with royal insults
Thailands government met with representatives from Internet giant Google, amid growing calls from Thai hardline royalists to bring those who insult the monarchy to justice, as many Thais look with uncertainty to a future without their revered king.King Bhumibol Adulyadejs death on Oct. 13 has thrown the country of 67 million into mourning. It has also led to the rise of ultra-royalist vigilante groups who say they will punish anyone perceived to have insulted the monarchy during a highly sensitive time for Thailand.Deputy Prime Minister Prajin Juntong said he met with Google representatives in Bangkok on Friday. Google affirmed in the meeting that it would continue to help the government remove content from YouTube, a Google subsidiary, that it deemed offensive, he said.”If any website is inappropriate they said to get in touch with them and inform them of the URL and the time the content was found,” Prajin told reporters.That conforms with Google’s practice around the world, Alphabet Inc’s Google says.

Netflixtipset: Black Mirror
Black Mirror har nu släppts på Netflix och det är den tredje säsongen av den kultförklarade tv-serien som tar upp vårt moderna samhälles baksidor.
Sex nya avsnitt finns i säsong tre och i episoderna avhandlas sociala medier, spel på nätet och några framtidskildringrar av ett framtida samhälle och framtida soldater.
Publik
Första säsongen sändes 2011 i brittiska Channel 4 och den nådde snart en hängiven och liten publik. Över tid så växte intresset och serien fick kultstatus för sin svarta humor och för att skildra baksidan av vårt tekniska samhälle. Dessutom dök mycket kända brittiska skådespelare upp i olika roller i olika episoder vilket gör att det är lika välspelat som träffsäkert.
Den andra säsongen kom 2013 med tre avsnitt som utökades med tre nya avsnitt 2014. Det finns även en slags julspecial som sändes innan Netflix hittade serien, blåste nytt liv i den och beslöt att producera minst två säsonger ytterligare varav den tredje alltså blir den första säsongen med Netflix som producent.

Du vet att ditt varumärke är i ordentlig fara när till och med den amerikanske presidenten använder det som ett exempel på att sopa till republikanerna.
Barack Obama använde Samsungs brinnande och exploderande telefoner som ett exempel på att problem och fixas – du går inte tillbaka till dåtidens lösningar.
Den amerikanske presidenten är känd som en lysande talare och Ibland gränsar hans tal till standup. Samsungs PR-katastrof tycks hela tiden växa och nätet fylls med bilder och videor allt medan Samsungs tvingas att ägna sig åt skadekontroll. Något Samsung inte är helt framgångsrika med, det heller.
