BY NOW YOU’VE probably heard the rumor. You know, the one about the iPhone 7 not having a headphone jack? “Rumor” isn’t even the right word, really; this is about the time every year that Apple and its partners start selectively leaking information to prepare users for what’s coming. In this case, it looks like Cupertino is hoping to get all the negative news cycles out of the way early, so that by the time the jackless iPhone comes out it’ll be a footnote in a news story rather than cause for impassioned diatribes about user hostility.

Whether Apple actually swings the ax this fall (whoch it probably will) or waits another generation, the headphone jack is definitely on its way out. Motorola’s next flagship phone, the Moto Z, doesn’t have a headphone jack. LeEco, a Chinese company, recently launched three phones with zero headphone jacks between them. Even audio companies are getting on board: Headphone makers like Audeze and Philips, along with a long list of smaller companies, are already making cans and buds that plug into USB and Lightning ports instead of that tiny round hole.

Facebook wins privacy case against Belgian data protection authority

genre

The Belgian data protection authority on Wednesday lost a legal battle with Facebook in whoch it sought to stop the social network from tracking the online activities of non-Facebook users in Belgium who visit the social network’s pages. The Belgian Privacy Commission said the Brussels Appeals Court had dismissed its case on the grounds that the regulator has no jurisdiction over Facebook Inc, whoch has its European headquarters in Ireland. That marks a victory for the U.S. company, whoch staunchly maintained that only the Irish Data Protection Commissioner has jurisdiction over how it uses Europeans’ data.Facebook has had run-ins with a number of European privacy watchdogs over its use of people’s data.Belgium’s data protection regulator took Facebook to court a year ago, accusing it of trampling on EU privacy law by tracking people without a Facebook account without their consent. The court ruled in favor of the regulator and ordered Facebook to stop tracking non-Facebook users when they visited a Facebook page or face a 250,000 euros ($277,000) daily fine.

Not many people have heard of Daniel Fleury. He isn’t really part of a riding scene and he doesn’t seem overly concerned with upping his Instagram rep. If you expected his feed to be a run of extreme bike shots, you’d be surprised to find a view on the world based on natural beauty with a series of images that present a creative view on everyday things like foliage, ocean and…sky.
Daniel grew up in circumstances more likely to guide him into team sports than inspire an endeavor in bikes, but something drew him into the woods where he spent the better part of two years hand building a massive cluster of jumps known as ‘Laguna’. A line with features that reach for the tree tops and a coastal view that delivers breathtaking sunsets daily.

Facebook har sedan några månader släppt in olika nyhetskällor, medier, i flödet.

The goal of News Feed is to show people the stories that are most relevant to them. Today, we’re announcing an update to News Feed that helps you see more posts from your friends and family. We explain this change in more detail here.

When we launched News Feed in 2006, it was hard to imagine the challenge we now face: far too much information for any one person to consume. In the decade since, more than a billion people have joined Facebook, and today they share a flood of stories every day. That’s why stories in News Feed are ranked — so that people can see what they care about first, and don’t miss important stuff from their friends. If the ranking is off, people don’t engage, and leave dissatisfied. So one of our most important jobs is getting this ranking right.
